This year, once again, Brixen will host the Brixen Water Light Festival.
The festival will take place from 29 April to 16 May 2026. Outdoor installations can generally be visited every evening from 9:00 p.m. to midnight, while some special exhibitions will also be accessible during the daytime.
This international art event transforms the historic centre of Brixen into a captivating route of light installations, projections, multimedia artworks, and performances dedicated to the themes of water, light, and sustainability. Artists from different countries use fountains, historic buildings, waterways, and urban spaces as the backdrop for their creative works.
The 2026 edition is part of the European project “Imagine Peace”, dedicated to peace and cooperation among various European light festivals. More than twenty installations and performances by artists from numerous countries explore the theme of peace through visual and sound-based artistic expressions.
